About The Association of ERGs & Councils

The Association of ERGs & Councils is the premier resource for diversity and inclusion professionals dedicated to increasing the impact, effectiveness and recognition of Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), Business Resource Groups (BRGs) and Diversity Councils.

Since 2005, the Association has provided hundreds of ERGs and Diversity Councils with impactful tools and custom solutions to assist them in starting up, staying motivated and reaching higher levels of effectiveness and performance.

Along with its parent PRISM International, Inc., the Association co-presents the annual ERG & Council Conference™ and ERG & Council Honors Award™.

Memberships with the Association are available but not necessary in order to take advantage of its many readily available and customizable resources and tools for ERGs, BRGS and Diversity Councils.

Debbie Mitchell

Manager, Member Services & PRISM Event Center

Debbie MitchellDebbie Mitchell uses her twenty four plus years of customer service experience in healthcare, hospitality and consulting and training to serve in dual roles as the Manager of Membership Services for the Association of ERGs & Councils and as Manager of the PRISM Event Center.

As Manager of Membership Services, she is responsible for the care, development and growth of Association members as well as oversees the sponsorship drive of the annual ERG & Council Conference™ and ERG & Council Honors Award™.

As Manager of the PRISM Event Center, she coordinates with Marketing and Sales to plan and execute delivery of the Association's and PRISM events.

Debbie came from the parent company, PRISM International, Inc., where she acquired 4 years of diversity and inclusion, Council and ERG work experience.

Bobby Gordon

Vice President Client Relationships, PRISM International, Inc. & Association of ERGs & Councils

Bobby GordonBobby manages a global portfolio specializing in assisting organizations and individuals in achieving goals by leveraging diversity and inclusion.

Prior to his role at PRISM, Bobby was a cultural diversity trainer with the Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute(DEOMI) where he developed, revised and conducted training for managers and senior military leaders in communications, organizational effectiveness and conflict resolution. He facilitated in 30 states and US territories, Germany and South Africa.

Bobby also served as a participating think tank panelist in developing strategies on increasing the diversity of the Army and Air National Guard. He helped to develop and design a human relation-training program for newly assigned DEOMI staff and faculty members.

Bobby received his Bachelor of Science in Liberal Arts from Excelsior College and a Master's of Science in Transformative Leadership from Bethune-Cookman University. He is also a certified Equal Opportunity Advisor graduating from Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute.

Alan Partin

Vice President Client Relationships, PRISM International, Inc. & Association of ERGs & Councils

Alan PartinAlan is Vice President Client Relationships at PRISM where he specializes in developing and nurturing client relationships. His career experience spans Finance,
Healthcare, Insurance, Security, Sales and Marketing. He is experienced and skilled in listening to and understanding his clients' individual needs.

Prior to his role at PRISM, while working in the banking industry, Alan discovered the bottom line impact that can be achieved by leveraging a diverse workforce to meet marketplace goals. By implementing a comprehensive D&I process and starting a Hispanic sales force to address the needs of an emerging Hispanic market, he increased his department's sales by 20% over a 2-year period.

Because of Alan's vision, hard work and determination, he was the youngest employee ever appointed to the company's President's Advisory Board.

Alan received his Bachelor of Arts in Marketing from the University of Central Florida.
